PART 3: OVERPOPULATION IN 21ST CENTURY AMERICA—1,700 PEOPLE ADDED TO CALIFORNIA DAILY

By Frosty Wooldridge

The United States adds 8,490 people, net gain, every day of the year. That equals 3.1 million annually. That equates to 100 million added by 2035 at current immigration-driven growth rates.

Ironically, since 1970, American females enjoyed an average birth rate of 2.03 children. The great “Zero Population Growth” message of the 60s made an impact, but, to counter it with more people, in 1965,Congress passed a sweeping mass immigration bill that remains in force today. That bill added 100 million people to the USA within 40 years. And, true to form, 100,000 immigrants land on American soil every 30 days without pause, 12 months a year, year in and year out, decade in and decade out.

While we grapple with accelerating environmental, bloated cities and quality of life issues, not to mention water and energy—we continue adding more and more millions of people without a clue or a plan as to what to do when we max out and exceed our carrying capacity. In fact, we already exceed it beyond anyone’s comprehension as you will discover in this series.

At the University of Colorado, Dr. Albert Bartlett said, “Can you think of any problem, on any scale, from microscopic to global, whose long-term solution is in any demonstrable way, aided, assisted, or advanced, by having continued population growth—at the local level, the state level, the national level, or globally?”

Doesn’t anyone find it astounding if not exasperating that America’s political leaders, environmental groups, academics, scientists and citizens fail to address hyper-population growth within this country?

How about the fact that top newspapers like the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Atlanta Journal, Christian Science Monitor, Dallas Morning News as well as Time, Newsweek, Forbes and U.S. News and World Report—won’t print a single article on America’s most daunting and accelerating issue: overpopulation.

One reader said, “I know! It stuns me that the "human numbers" issue is so OFF everyone's radar! And yes, I feel fortunate I got my turn here on earth before the impact of all this is fully felt.”

Frighteningly, a Forbes Magazine writer, Joel Kotkin, wrote a book ‘celebrating’ the addition of 100 million people. National Public Radio’s Jennifer Ludden wrote a glowing review for the book. A radio talk show host, Michael Medved, interviewed Kotkin with glowing praise for his seminal work. Most scientists would say that Kotkin, Ludden and Medved need to have their heads examined for lack of common sense, rational thought and ability to work simple math. Fact: exponential growth cannot be sustained!

Instead of dealing with our population dilemma, our media feeds off the death of Michael Jackson for three months. They rode the Tiger Woods “Infidelity horse” to its knees. They will find another ‘national trauma’ to entertain us ad nauseam.

CITIES BEYOND REASON AND GROWTH BEYOND UNDERSTANDING

What aspects of big cities that makes anyone’s blood run cold? Crime, rape, gangs, graffiti, traffic, toxic air and just about everyone lives in a state of tension—for starters! The bigger the city, the more aberrant behavior on a larger scale.

The late environmentalist John Muir said, “Tell me what you will of the benefactions of city civilization, of the sweet security of streets—all as part of the natural up-growth of man towards the high destiny we hear so much of. I know that our bodies were made to thrive only in pure air, and the scenes in which pure air is found. If the death exhalations that brood the board towns in which we so fondly compact ourselves were made visible, we should flee as from a plague. All are more or less sick; there is not a perfectly sane man in all of San Francisco.”

New York’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg said two years ago that New Yorkers need to prepare for an additional two million residents—as if another two million people added to its already gross 8.5 million “human ants crammed into its concrete jungles” would make New York an even more delightful place to live!

All the while, monumental environmental predicaments face every city in America. At the 2009 Copenhagen Conference on climate change, the brilliant author of, Peak Everything: facing a century of declines, Richard Heinberg said, "...the discussions in Denmark took place in a conceptual fantasy world in which climate change is the only global crisis that matters much; in which rapid economic growth is still an option; in which fossil fuels are practically limitless; in which a western middle class staring at the prospect of penury can be persuaded voluntarily to transfer a significant portion of its rapidly evaporating wealth to other nations; and in which the subject of human overpopulation can barely be mentioned... it's no wonder more wasn't achieved in Copenhagen.”

From our swollen eastern seaboard, let’s travel 3,000 miles across America’s heartland to the former land of milk and honey: California. That state, at 38 million people and bursting at its demographic seams with water shortages, energy problems, toxic air and eternal gridlocked traffic—adds an extra 1,700 people daily! With that, California adds another 400 vehicles to its already clogged roads each day. It destroys over 250,000 acres of land turned into real estate annually. California adds 600,000 more people annually on its way to adding 20 million more within three decades. Can you fathom what their children will face in a blink of time? For more information on how crazy California grows, visit www.capsweb.org with Dr. Diana Hull.

This relentless growth paradigm extends beyond anyone’s understanding.

In my world bicycle travels, having seen it up close and ugly, I must claw my positive attitude back from the abyss of depression daily. Why? If we allow this “Human Katrina” to manifest, no one will escape and all will ‘deal’ with their degraded conditions.

If any of us, no matter what our race, creed or color might be, refuse to engage our U.S. Congress as we have not for 30 years as to the immigration equation—our children will find themselves living in a terribly degraded America where the American Dream will be described by the history books as a ‘fleeting fantasy’ from the era of 1950 to 2010. PART 1: OVERPOPULATION IN 21ST CENTURY AMERICA--OUR PERILOUS FUTURE

By Frosty Wooldridge

In the early years of the 21st century, the United States continues on a course toward adding another 100 million people by 2035. (Source: “US Population Projections” by Fogel/Martin, PEW Report, U.S. Census Bureau) Beyond that, population projections show America doubling its current populace to 600 million in the latter half of this century. At the same time, the world demographic figures show an added three billion humans to planet Earth by 2050.

With accelerating ‘symptoms’ exploding across America and the world via water and food shortages, species extinction rates, energy crises, climate destabilization, ocean dead zones and more ramifications on multiple levels—we find ourselves passengers within a civilization that parallels the metaphor of the Titanic. If you remember, on April 14, 1912, the RMS Titanic, the finest steamship of its era, on its maiden voyage, sped too fast and arrogantly through iceberg infested waters of the North Atlantic. It hit one and sank—to become one of the greatest tragedies that didn’t have to happen in the 20th century.

Our own grave overpopulation crisis need not manifest within the United States, either, if we change course. Like Captain Edward John Smith of the Titanic, he could have slowed down or steamed further south to avoid his fate.

The United States could also change course and avoid adding 100 million people within the next 25 years. However, no American leaders step up to the microphone with any concern. The passengers of our American civilization continue ‘trusting’ their leaders similarly to the passengers on the Titanic. “Captain Smith knows what he is doing,” they said. “Our U.S. Congress and president must know what they are doing,” citizens lament.

But like Titanic’s Captain Smith, the U.S. Congress and president of the United States—don’t know what they are doing.

This 30 part series will explain exactly what few Americans understand as well as the accelerating ramifications of adding 100 million people to the USA in 25 years. It will educate you from the finest minds in the 21st century such as Dr. Diana Hull, Dr. Albert Bartlett, Dr. William Catton, Dr. Joseph Tainter, Governor Richard D. Lamm and dozens of other leaders in the demographic field. Hopefully, at the end of each part in the series, you will be able to take action that ‘forces’ the Congress and president toward a sustainable future. You will be able to join website organizations that will empower you toward collective action of like-minded and well-educated citizens that care about the future of this civilization. You might say that you’re taking action for your kids.

In all great social change, it takes a ‘consciousness shift’ of becoming aware, which then leads to a ‘critical mass shift’ of activated citizens, that ultimately moves toward ‘tipping point’ whereby a civilization moves toward a more positive future. Examples abound with Thomas Jefferson and the Declaration of Independence, Susan B. Anthony winning the vote and rights for women, Gandhi in India and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for bringing human rights to all people within The United States.

UNENDING POPULATION GROWTH ON A FINITE PLANET CANNOT CONTINUE

In “Matters of Conscience”, January 2010, www.centerforpublicconscience.org , by Bromwell Ault, “Ours is a world of extreme and imminent danger. It crackles with messages of political, economic and religious conflict and, when tensions build and words fail, as they often do, violence is visited by one group upon another. If that were not enough, our planet shudders from spasms with changes in technology, population, wealth distribution and our natural environment.”

You may notice newspapers, environmental magazines like Sierra Club and National Public Radio addressing growing ‘symptoms’ brought about by overpopulation. But, you will never hear them connect the dots as to hyper-population growth. In fact, they avoid any mention of their ‘sacred cow’ of our world filled with too many people. Obviously, religious, political and racial ramifications enter into the passions of this issue.

In the 16th century, men like Galileo found themselves under house arrest via the Catholic Church, because they ‘bucked’ the conventional wisdom with their research. They called him a “heretic.” Ultimately, the Pope lost because Galileo proved that the earth revolved around the sun. Today, if anyone speaks up against mass immigration into the United Kingdom, France, Holland, Canada or the United States—the term “racist” echoes from every quarter.

Ironically, those immigrants flee overpopulated countries where average annual death rates from starvation and related diseases exceed 18 million people. (Source: World Health Organization) Worse, third world countries add 77 million people net gain annually to our finite planet. Thus, they form an endless line of desperate refugees. In the end, Mother Nature doesn’t care about anyone’s race, creed or color—she’s an equal opportunity grim reaper for anyone that exceeds carrying capacity.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND WHAT CAN BE DONE?

The late oceanographer Jacques-Yves Cousteau said, “We must alert and organize the world’s people to pressure world leaders to take specific steps to solve the two root causes of our environmental crises—exploding population growth and wasteful consumption of irreplaceable resources. Over consumption and overpopulation underlie every environmental problem we face today.”

PART 2: OVERPOPULATION IN 21ST CENTURY AMERICA—FROG IN THE POT METAPHOR

By Frosty Wooldridge

From 1964 to 2006, the United States, via mass immigration, grew from 193 million to 300 million. It added over 100 million people in a 40 year span. Today, America stands at 309 million people in 2010. It adds 3.1 million people annually. It races toward adding 100 million people by 2035—a scant 25 years from now.

In many ways, the American public cannot fathom its own critical condition as to overpopulation. Americans charged onto the North American continent with unlimited topsoil, trees, fresh water, resources and unimaginable spaces.

If truth be told, the Native Americans kept it perfectly intact for thousands of years of ecological balance and harmony. They also kept their own numbers in equilibrium with nature. Birds, ducks, geese, deer and buffalo numbered in the millions while clear skies and crystal clean streams offered unlimited food, shelter and clothing.

But starting in 1850, Europeans fled from potato famines, wars and diseases to stampede into America by the millions. They brought horses, farms, locomotives, chemicals, booze, diseases, factories and the Industrial Revolution with them. They blasted, mined, poisoned and trashed the national landscape. If you look along America’s highways, lakes, streams and farms, you will see billions of pieces of trash and dumps covering the land. Americans individually or collectively show no responsibility for picking up after themselves.

Over the last 150 years, Americans enjoyed no end to water, energy and resources. A sense of cultural ‘entitlement’ runs through this society with the idea that all these resources available today will be there tomorrow.

A CULTURAL PARADIGM OF NO END TO PLENTY OF EVERYTHING

Four things operate in the American mind in the 21st century: 1. Religion promotes “Go forth multiply and take dominion over the land.” 2. Capitalism promotes unlimited growth, production and consumption—that demands ever increasing human population expansion. 3. No limits to water, energy and resources. 4. Technology will solve any problem.

Man! Are we in for a rude awakening or what?! One look at one billion humans living in misery and squalor around the planet today renders a hint and harbinger as to America’s future.

Jared Diamond’s book, Collapse: How societies choose to fail or succeed, offers a sobering reality check to those four aforementioned myths. “In his brilliantly written Collapse, Diamond examines in fascinating historic detail why past societies succeeded or failed. He then connects these stories to troubling scenes from 21st century in Rwanda, Australia, China and Montana—and extracts practical lessons for a world that desperately needs to redefine progress.” James R. Karr

As it stands today, Australia may be the first “First World” country that exceeds its carrying capacity. With 96 percent of that continent covered in desert sand, it lacks water and arable soil. A new book, Overloading Australia, by Mark O’Connor and William Lines, points out the obvious facts that Australia cannot support its current 21 million population let alone its immigration-driven projections to add 20 million by mid century. Additionally, it suffers accelerating carbon emissions and unsustainable ecological footprint dilemmas—that can only worsen with population growth.

Another book, The Collapse of Complex Societies, by Dr. Joseph Tainter, illustrates how highly multifaceted civilizations fail. If not for the 70 percent importation of oil burned in the US daily, our civilization would fall within days. Astoundingly, U.S. leaders push for population growth by pressing for more immigration already at over 2.4 million annually.

Ironically, those immigrants flee already overloaded civilizations that expand by 77 million annually. Startlingly, no one possesses the ability to connect the dots at the national, local or personal levels. Societal ethnocentrism!

In “On American Sustainability—Anatomy of a societal collapse”, by Chris Clugston, “Most Americans believe that we are ‘exceptional’—both as a society and as a species. We believe that America was ordained through divine providence to be the societal role model for the world. We believe through our superior intellect, we can harness and even conquer nature in our continuous quest to improve the material living standards associated with our ever-increasing population…we now find ourselves in a predicament. We are irreparably overextended—living hopelessly beyond our means ecologically and economically…we are about to discover that we are another unsustainable society subject to the inescapable consequences of our unsustainable resource behavior—societal collapse.”

HOW DID WE GET TO THIS POINT AND AVOIDANCE OF REALITY?

Dr. Jack Alpert, www.skil.org, wrote, “Think better or perform genocide”, “When you lower a frog into a pot of boiling water, it feels the heat and jumps out. When you lower a frog into a pot of cold water and then place the pot on the stove and heat it, the frog does not feel the heat, does not jump out, and boils to death.

“It appears a frog gathers, processes and values, the available information well enough to save its life in the first case, but not in the second.

“Is it possible that humans think like frogs? When immersed in our environment, we cannot appreciate our dangerous destination and cannot identify or change our behavior that would avoid it.

“Consider that we are experiencing ever increasing social conflict and cannot see it. We are experiencing ever diminishing wellbeing and cannot see it. That our progeny will live an animalistic life near subsistence and we can’t see it.”

The question I ask: will we awaken as a civilization before Mother Nature becomes the grim reaper of the 21st century on a scale far greater than ever experienced in history? It will be up to the thinkers and doers at this point in time. You are one of them if you’re reading this series.

AMERICA ‘IMMIGRATING’ INTO CYCLICAL ILLITERACY AND POVERTY

By Frosty Wooldridge
Re: Vince Carroll, “Discus poverty at own peril”, DP, 2/20/10
Denver Post editorial, “One small step on immigration” DP, 2/22/10

While the Denver Post editorialists hint around the edges of our immigration predicament, they never quite ‘touch’ the core problem or what’s driving it. In fact, Vince Carroll and his staff avoid it at all costs. With an estimated 500,000 illegals and their children residing in Colorado, the costs top $1.1 billion annually to Colorado taxpayers. (Source: www.cairco.org) Not only that, you will never see the Denver Post ‘going after’ the employers of illegal aliens at bars, restaurants, hotels, roofing companies, construction contractors, landscapers, fast food shops and meat packing plants.

You won’t see a story on the thousands of illegals driving cars without licenses or insurance. You won’t find a story on the ID theft, ID forgeries, ID scams and housing fraud by illegals and employers. Why? Big money! But again, Colorado taxpayers subsidize a few that haul in millions.

Yet, Carroll and company wind their way around the immigration/population issue much like California politicians and newspapers. At the same time, Colorado faces many of the same failures. California runs a $26 billion debt and over four million illegal aliens and their children make a mockery of their police, educational, medical and prison systems. Rampant fraud allows illegals to remain as California taxpayers pay and pay! Colorado finds itself over $284 million in debt, but no one will address the costs of illegal aliens.

During the Colorado gubernatorial race three years ago, ICE Agent Cory Voorhis exposed the deceptions in the immigration arena from former District Attorney and now Governor Bill Ritter as he allowed criminal drug dealing illegal aliens free passes like ‘agricultural trespass’ to return to our streets instead of being deported. A “Denver Sanctuary Policy” for illegal aliens by Mayor John Hickenlooper created situations whereby two women and a three year old child suffered death at the hands of illegal Francis Hernandez. Police caught and let him go 19 times via Hickenlooper’s policy. Hundreds of similar stories duplicate across the USA with sanctuary cities.

"We need to lock down the border and enforce visas, reject amnesty and enforce our current laws, get rid of our rewards and incentives to be here illegally, and mandate E-Verify.” -- Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) at CPAC in Washington DC, February 20, 2010

CARROLL EXPOSES THE RESULTS OF INJECTING ENDLESS NUMBERS OF POOR, UNEDUCATED IMMIGRANTS INTO THIS STATE

Carroll related, “As Kay Hymowitz explained a few years ago in her book Marriage and Caste in America: The old-fashioned married-couple- with-children model is doing quite well among college-educated women…she readily admits that "there are millions of poor Americans, living not just in down-on-your-luck hardship but in entrenched, multigenerational poverty.

“Nearly 40 percent of all children were born to unwed mothers in 2007, the highest figure ever. For Asians, the percentage was 17; for whites, 28; for blacks, a catastrophic 72. Unfortunately, the biggest surge is occurring in the fastest-growing segment of the population: Over half of all Latino births are now to unwed moms, too.”

U.S. IMPORTS 100,000 IMMIGRANTS AND THEIR CHILDREN EVERY 30 DAYS WITHOUT END: 1.2 MILLION ANNUALLY

What Carroll fails to mention stems from the fact that via relentless immigration from third world cultures like Mexico where education ranks lower than earthworms, no amount of money or the best U.S. teachers can elevate children of ‘cultural poverty’ into the American mainstream.

Thus, with over 50 different languages, we saw a 67 percent dropout rate in Denver Public Schools in 2004. It hit 48 percent in 2009. In Detroit, Michigan, with 600,000 immigrants, they suffered, according to NBC’s Brian Williams, a 76 percent dropout rate last year. In high immigrant cities, the same percentages occur.

Additionally, relentless immigration undercuts American Blacks and Hispanics from jobs, which drives them deeper into poverty. As they become endemically poor, they produce more babies on welfare that move into cyclical and entrenched poverty.
Can we solve it? You betcha! We need a10 year moratorium on all immigration into our country. After that, a maximum of 100,000 immigrants annually that benefit this civilization.

This three minute interview with Adam Schrager on “Your Show” May 4, 2008, NBC Channel 9 News, addresses the ramifications of adding 120 million people to USA in 35 years and six million people to Colorado as to water shortages, air pollution, loss of farmland, energy costs and degradation of quality of life. In the interview, Frosty Wooldridge explains the ramifications of adding 120 million people to the USA in 35 years. He advances new concepts such as a “Colorado Carrying Capacity Policy”; “Colorado Environmental Impact Policy”; “Colorado Water Usage Policy”; “Colorado Sustainable Population Policy”. Nationally, the USA needs a "National Sustainable Population Policy" to determine the carrying capacity of this nation for the short and long term. PART 2: JACKPOT ANCHOR BABIES--RUNAWAY FRAUD ON AMERICAN TAXPAYER

By Frosty Wooldridge

Part 2: Degrading schools and communities and welfare

Every year, 400,000 pregnant women enter the United States legally and illegally to birth their babies on American soil. Their children become instant citizens and their mothers become instant wards of the American taxpayer.

From a reader: Dear Mr. Wooldridge: You can also add South Florida to your list. I work in “Labor & Delivery” as a newborn admittance nurse down here in South Florida. Women fly in from the Bahamas, the Caribbean Islands, Central and South America every day and delivery their babies at this hospital. Many use the same excuse - they came to shop and just happened to go into labor while they were here. Some even have their prenatal records with them!!! Most however, have no records and so we spend even more money on them doing prenatal lab testing. And for those with sick or problem babies - no problem. They get top-notch tax payer funded neonatal intensive care right across the hall. [Costs run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars]

“We've even had a Haitian woman recently say she came because of the earthquake - interestingly her first clinic visit here was documented three days before the quake. That is just wrong to say something like that!! They don't pay one red cent for their hospital stays and in fact, they sign up for WIC while they're here to receive free food and formula. The money they pay for the plane ticket here could buy a lot of essentials for the baby in the first year so I know most are not hurting for money. I feel like I'm in a foreign country down here.” Thank you, Nancy

This story repeats itself 400,000 times a year, year in and year out! And, only one U.S. Congressman, Nathan Deals of Georgia has introduced a bill to stop it. Yet, not one other of the 534 other Congressional reps will advance the bill.

In an excellent expose’ by Mark Cromer, www.capsweb.org, senior writing fellow, titled: “American Jackpot: Remaking America by Birthright Citizenship,” he explains phenomenon occurring only in the United States. No other country in the world allows it.

“Immigration limitation activists will be attempting a statewide petition drive to get the California Taxpayer Protection Act on the ballot,” Cromer said. “If passed, the measure will prohibit a parent here illegally from applying for any state or local benefit for a U.S. born child. Sweeping in its implications, the act would halt non-emergency medical aid— including the taxpayer-funded pre-natal care that has actually been advertised across Mexico and other countries by migrant advocacy groups—and would stop state welfare payments that illegal immigrant parents collect on behalf of their citizen-children. This initiative would also eliminate the lure of birth tourism.”

CALIFORNIA WITH FIVE MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS AND $26 BILLION IN DEBT

“If passed, the initiative will go a long way to help balance the California budget and launch the long overdue national discussion of the actual meaning of the 14th Amendment,” said Cromer. “It would revitalize long neglected federal legislation on this subject of the kind proposed by Nathan Deal and many other members of Congress, none of which have ever been brought to the floor for a vote.

“If the policy of granting birthright citizenship was once an affordable misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment, it has long since become a massive entitlement that has collided with the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 and the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 to create a perfect storm of mass immigration to our shores.

“In 1965, the late Senator Ted Kennedy pressed hard for the immigration legislation—it was the first bill he managed through to passage— that eliminated the so-called ‘national origin’ quotas that had been used to keep the flow of immigrants into the U.S. overwhelmingly European. Confronting critics of the bill who had the foresight to question whether it would result in torrential flows of peoples from impoverished lands that would strain America’s ability to assimilate them, Kennedy dismissed even the suggestion that the ethnic and cultural balance of the nation would be impacted and, in a portent of strategy employed by the proponents of mass immigration ever since, he accused the bill’s critics of bigotry.”

“The charges I have mentioned are highly emotional, irrational and with little foundation in fact,” Kennedy said about critics of the bill that raised the alarm it would result in a Third World stampede for American shores. “They are out of line with the obligations of responsible citizenship. They breed hate of our heritage.…”
From my own personal observation, I submit that Kennedy created the beginning of the end of the United States of America. He flooded this country with cultures of poverty, incompatible religions, linguistic chaos and an ecological destruction driven by an added 100 million people in 40 years. If his 1965 bill continues, expect another 70 million third world immigrants and their children within 25 years.

Cromer said, “The assessment that Kennedy was so utterly off the mark in his steadfast assurances that America’s cultural balance would not be dramatically tipped by the legislation is so undeniable that even unwavering liberals acknowledge it—and thank him for it. Just hours after his death, the Daily Kos website posted a homage to Kennedy by Dana Houle that celebrated his efforts to shepherd the 1965 immigration bill to passage.”

“When he was arguing for the act,” Houle writes, “Kennedy tried to assure critics that it wouldn’t significantly change the ethnic makeup of the country. Obviously he was wrong, and it is open to interpretation whether he misjudged the effects or concealed his intents.” Houle notes that in 1960, the foreign-born population of the U.S. was “only 5.4 percent.” Yet by 2000, that figure had jumped to more than 11 percent— a massive demographic shift fueled by an influx of immigrants of which, Houle gushed proudly “Only 16 percent were from Europe.” More than half were from Latin America.

“With every passing day it is increasingly clear that the allure of birthright citizenship has picked up steam during the past four decades, becoming a runaway train, a human locomotive fueled by Latin America’s entrenched misery that has come barreling across the Rio Grande to demographically explode in major American population centers and—with human densities in urbanized regions reaching critical mass—fans out into the heartland.”

Cromer continued, “The policy has created a self-sustaining dynamic on a fundamental level; encouraging immigrants to cross the border illegally and then rewarding them when they have a child here by making said baby an instant-citizen and therefore accorded all the rights and privileges afforded Americans; including welfare payments. Perhaps even more potent is their right, once they turn 18, to petition for their immigrant family members to stay in the United States. Thus these babies are far more than euphemistic anchors: they are quite literally paychecks and a membership card into the network of social services offered in America. This powerful dynamic is now pervasive across the nation, resulting in chaotic scenes as American citizens demand enforcement of immigrations laws while immigrants and their advocacy networks decry any effort to deport those here illegally.”

Annual cost for all illegal aliens within the USA, according to the Edwin Rubenstein report, www.thesocialcontract.com , across 15 federal agencies: a $346 billion annually.

PART 1: THE JACKPOT ANCHOR BABY--TRANSFORMING AMERICA INTO A DIFFERENT COUNTRY

By Frosty Wooldridge

Part 1: Accelerating costs of jackpot or anchor babies on American taxpayers

Every year, 400,000 pregnant women enter the United States illegally to birth their babies on American soil. Their children become instant citizens and their mothers become instant wards of the American taxpayer. They enjoy taxpayer paid deliveries in our hospitals, unlimited medical health, K-12 educations, ‘free’ breakfasts and lunches, ‘free’ English as a second language classes and assisted housing, food stamps and social security benefits.

In an excellent expose’ by Mark Cromer, www.capsweb.org, senior writing fellow, titled: “American Jackpot: Remaking America by Birthright Citizenship,” he explains phenomenon occurring only in the United States. No other country in the world allows it.

Only one U.S. House congressman named Nathan Deal (R-GA) has entered a bill, HR 1968 to stop this abuse of the 14th Amendment, but his bill has languished in committee for over 10 years: another instance where you Congress sits on its thumbs while you pay and pay.

Unfortunately, this ‘jackpot baby’ syndrome has continued for over 30 years and will continue until someone in Congress stops it.

“Indeed, the United States today stands virtually alone among power-house industrial democracies in granting unequivocal birth citizenship,” said Cromer. “The notion of being an instant American if born on United States soil has been so romanticized at critical junctures in our evolving popular culture it is now seen by many as a fundamental characteristic of the American identity.

“So there’s no small amount of irony in the fact that the policy of granting birthright citizenship in America has become a core gravitational ‘pull factor’ that has resulted in the largest sustained wave of mass human migration ever witnessed in the history of the nation-state; a human tsunami that has played a critical role in the rapid erosion of the quality of life that so many immigrants seek on these shores. It also increasingly poses a non-consensual makeover of the culture that American citizens had neither voice nor vote in unleashing.”

Dr. John C. Eastman, Dean of Chapman University’s law school in Orange, California, is a leading scholar in the nation on constitutional law and has testified before Congress on the issue of birthright citizenship. Eastman states that the framers of the 14th Amendment had no intention of allowing another country to wage demographic warfare against the U.S. and reshaping its culture by means of exploiting birthright citizenship. Eastman said, “We have this common understanding of when you come here to visit, that you are subject to our jurisdiction. You have to obey our traffic laws. If you come here from England, you have to drive on the right side of the road and not on the left side of the road. But the framers of the 14th Amendment had in mind two different notions of ‘subject to the jurisdiction.’ There was what they called territorial jurisdiction— you have to follow the laws in the place where you are—but there was also this more complete, or allegiance-owing jurisdiction that held that you not only have to follow the laws, but that you owe allegiance to the sovereign.”

MASSIVE FINANCIAL AND CITIZENSHIP FRAUD

Anchor babies, upon birth in a U.S. hospital cost from $6,000.00 to as much as a $500,000.00 per birth depending on complications such as Down’s Syndrome, Autism, heart birth defects, etc. They also cost an average of $9,644.00 each year for their education and thousands more for English classes and breakfast and lunch programs.

“Dr. Edward J. Erler, a political science professor at Cal State San Bernardino, has spoken out against the political malaise and the popular misconception that has blossomed around the continued awarding of citizenship to virtually anyone born in the country,” said Cromer. “Echoing the sentiments of Eastman, Erler points out that the framers of the 14th Amendment sought to reassure the Congress in 1868 that the citizenship provisions did not cover—nor were they crafted with the intent to grant—citizenship to the children of foreign nationals born in the United States.”

“It’s difficult to fathom how those who defy American law can derive benefits for their children by their defiance; or that any sovereign nation would allow such a thing,” Erler said. “That it has been allowed to happen on such a massive scale and has even been encouraged by various groups gets Terry Anderson’s blood boiling. A life-long black resident of South Los Angeles, Anderson has used his talk radio show to decry not only the radical and rapid transformation of traditional black neighborhoods in Los Angeles and the erosion of the black power structure in the face of explosive immigration, but to blast the government’s policy of granting birthright citizenship to illegal immigrants, children by their defiance; or that any sovereign nation would allow such a thing.”

Cromer said, “Ticking off a list of impacts that illegal immigration has brought down on the black working class community—from increased competition for jobs to overcrowded classrooms where black students suffer under a bilingual curriculum—Anderson says illegal immigrants brazenly celebrate “hitting the jackpot” when they have a baby in America.”

“It’s wrong, it’s a misinterpretation and it angers me because that was written for my ancestors,” Anderson says. “And now it is being misused. They took an amendment made for us and turned it around against us.”

As a teacher, I watched the destruction of American classrooms in Denver, LA, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas and Miami. With over 50 different languages in major city schools, millions of fatherless children and no appreciation for or understanding of American educational standards and culture, those anchor babies slowly and today more speedily transform America into another country inside our own country. By 2042, Mexicans and their offspring will become the dominant ethnic group in America according to a recent PEW report.

As we pour over 240,000 legal and illegal immigrants into our country every 30 days, and allow this Jackpot Baby or Anchor Baby phenomenon to continue, American communities, schools and cities cannot, and will not enjoy a happy ending as our civilization balkanizes against itself on multiple levels. If you don’t think it’s happening, take a three day visit to Detroit or Los Angeles. Everyone is from some other country, few speak English, half of them can’t write their name in English and all of them are legal Americans.

ENVIRONMENTAL GROUPS PRETEND TO SAVE OUR ENVIRONMENT

By Frosty Wooldridge

After 30 years as a member of the Sierra Club, formed by my favorite and the first environmentalist—John Muir—I stopped giving them $35.00 a year because I learned they wasted my money while doing nothing to protect the environment.

Carl Pope, long time head of Sierra Club, finagled and fandangled millions of hapless Sierra Club members into filling his coffers while he pretended to ‘save’ the environment. At no point would he address overpopulation or massive immigration into the United States as a ‘driving destructive force’ to all his ‘saving’ of the environment.

No matter how much hocus-pocus he performed with slick magazines and campaigns to make America a ‘better’ environment, he stood by while 100 million people added themselves to the United States via immigration. He didn’t breathe a word of protest; not so much as a peep.

Why? Money, lots of money, green money, ‘keep quiet’ money! As long as money flowed into his coffers, he could pretend, hoodwink and deceive with aplomb, style, composure and assurance to his minions. Surely, Pope followed in the hallowed footsteps of John Muir!

What a crock! What a racket! What a trickery!

Pope followed the advice of P.T. Barnum, “There’s a sucker born every minute.”
I wrote him saying, “Carl, good buddy, you cannot succeed in saving the environment if you don’t stand up for population stability.”

He wrote back a letter filled with more horse feathers than a barnyard. I quit! I know that John Muir would slap Carl Pope upside the head for being SO deceptive.
Up in Canada, another environmentalist. Tim Murray of www.immigrationwatchCanada.org , lays it on the line.

“I left the environmental movement after 27 years because I finally faced up to the fact that they were only going to focus on "symptoms" rather than root causes,” Murray said. “In fact, I toyed with the idea of setting up a rival group to the local Sierra Club called "Root Cause". Since then, however, I have discovered that there are sincere people who believe one "symptom" is the root cause, and regard my "root cause"--human overpopulation---as a mere symptom.

“Then there are Malthusians like you who of course agree that human overpopulation is a root cause, but regard among other things, "migration", a symptom or as you term it, a "lesser" problem. That is where we differ. I have tried many times to make the point that migration is intimately bound up with global overpopulation. But I consistently fail to make you (and others) understand that. Time and time again I fail to demonstrate that:

1. Open borders, by offering an escape hatch or safety valve for developing nations , allows them to avoid to facing up to their unsustainable and growing population.

2. Open borders is a proven stimulant to fertility in countries of emigration (eg. Central America and the West Indies). The more children had, the greater the chances that one will land in the promised land and forward remittances or anchor and sponsor more family émigrés.

3. Open borders magnifies the ecological impact of migrants from poor to rich countries, making their numbers more significant

4. Open borders, by boosting the population level of countries like the US, Canada, Australia and Britain, makes it difficult for them to achieve sustainability, and until they do so, they have no credibility when they tell developing countries to stabilize and reduce their populations. A "do as I say" rather than "do as I do" policy simply will not work. We have to clean up our own act here before we go preaching to the Africa or Afghanistan or the Philippines about constraining population growth.

5. North American environmental NGOs are critical roadblocks to making the people, the grassroots that you focus on, aware of the above. They are the Pied Pipers who lead the innocent astray. The people cannot hear our voice because the green orgs have the microphone. Therefore, discrediting them becomes a prerequisite for public education. Taking them down is not a "lesser" task.

“To be effective we must form a fist and not contest our opponents with an open hand of five discordant fingers,” said Murray. “But we must first get it right, and unify around the correct analysis. That was Lenin's point. He led a tiny, relatively inconsequential movement and successfully toppled a regime that controlled the Russian empire for many centuries. Why? Because he insisted on the correct line, and eschewed coalitions. To him, revolution was about punching a fist through a rotten door. The door may be rotten, but you still need to strike with a clenched fist. We are all streams moving in the same direction, but we have not formed a confluence. I agree that global overpopulation is paramount, but like Hardin, I also believe that growth, like potholes, is a local issue too.”

Murray expresses a frustration ‘felt’ all over Canada in that her leaders continue to deceive and trick Canadians as to the immigration invasion—as if it benefits everyone—when in fact, it’s tearing Canada into ecological shreds as well as destroying Canadian culture and language. But the leaders of Canada continue just like Carl Pope of the Sierra Club. “Let’s pretend that it’s all wonderful!” they cheer. They avoid facts, accelerating consequences and they ignore the ‘symptoms’ that explode across Canada and the United States.

That ‘pretending environmentalism’ cannot last much longer as reality pops up faster on multiple levels, i.e., water shortages, climate change, species extinction, acidified oceans, acid rain and loss of quality of life—for starters.

HOW MANY MORE MILLIONS OF IMMIGRANTS CAN AMERICA HANDLE?

By Frosty Wooldridge

The greatest question facing Americans today in the arena of legal and illegal immigration is: how many is too many? When is enough, enough? How many more of the world’s poor can we handle? How are we going to handle a line of immigrants that never ends? As they stream into our country by the millions annually, what about our culture, language and quality of life? What about our sustainability?
The United States absorbs, or another term may be more appropriate--chokes on 1.2 to 1.5 million legal immigrants annually. America imports more immigrants than all other countries combined. For the past forty years, this country injected itself with an enormous immigrant load that added an additional 100 million people to America.

Whether we like to admit it or not, this colossal human overload created virtually every detrimental sociological, educational, environmental and resource dilemma we face today. One look at Detroit, Michigan with a 76 percent high school dropout rate and 50 percent illiteracy causes exasperation to what has happened to the American Dream. Notice the most tragic aspect of every third world country: illiteracy! It means more Americans that educate themselves will be paying more for those that chose illiteracy. Ironically, their numbers increase much faster than educated Americans. Therefore, all of us will be paying more for ‘their’ educational folly and fecundity. As their educational levels drop, our standard of living and quality of life drop with them.

Take a look at California! Anyone think it will survive its demographic situation by adding another 20 million immigrants within 30 years? California suffers $26 billion in debts, but grows by 1,700 people daily. (Source: www.capsweb.org) How about the latest figures in the Denver Post that show 43 American states cannot pay
their bills and suffer billions in debts?

CULTURE OF ILLITERACY AND POVERTY GROWING IN THE USA

Within this growing and entrenched poverty and illiteracy paradigm, the numbers explode beyond recapture. In my last column, I urged a cap of 100,000 immigrants a year. Dozens of emails urged me to promote a 10 year moratorium. In my book, America on the Brink: The Next Added 100 Million Americans, I DID advocate a 10 year moratorium. If we don’t stop the massive immigrant in-bleeding, we cannot hope to save our educational systems or repair our illiteracy rates--

That leads up to the distressing fact that 1 in 7 Americans remains functionally illiterate:

Illiteracy Statistics

• 42 million American adults can't read at all; 50 million are unable to read at a higher level that is expected of a fourth grader.
• The number of adults that are classified as functionally illiterate increases by about 2.25 million each year.
• 20 percent of high school seniors can be classified as being functionally illiterate at the time they graduate.

Source: National Right to Read Foundation

Where Illiteracy Leads (2.3 million Americans in prison)

• 70 percent of prisoners in state and federal systems can be classified as illiterate.
• 85 percent of all juvenile offenders rate as functionally or marginally illiterate.

Yet, not one U.S. Senator, U.S. House rep, state governor, mayor, President Obama or environmental organization whispers a peep about the immigration factor! In fact, my two U.S. Senators Mark Udall and Michael Bennet propose to double legal immigration in the approaching amnesty bill.

As it is today, legal and illegal immigrants pour into America at an astounding rate of 200,000 every 30 days, month in and month out, year in and year out.

WHEN ENOUGH IS MORE THAN TOO MUCH

In a brilliant interview with one of America’s foremost leaders on the immigration equation, Dr. John Tanton www.thesocialcontract.com , you may visit one of 23 five minute interviews by George Colburn as he speaks to Dr. Tanton: http://www.johntanton.org/video/jt_video_2006_7.html .

Dr. Tanton asks:

1. How many people should we admit?
2. Who gets the 70 different visas to enter the United States?
3. Who enforces their exit from the USA?

Having watched all 23 of these highly educational video tapes, I felt a greater understanding of our dilemma. Obviously, we average Americans ignore our accelerating predicament as long as water falls from the tap and our cars enjoy ample gas and our heaters come on in the winter to keep our homes warm. But, our ‘land of plenty’ will not persist with relentless immigration.

Dr. Tanton notes, “We cannot continue to solve carrying capacity issues by moving people and resources around the globe - we need to recognize the finiteness of resources and adapt our lifestyle to one that can be sustained over the millennia.

“In summary, fellow citizens need to "buck up" and take up the discussion about mass immigration. It is time to give up the name-calling, try to find the facts as they are, try to be concerned about future generations, and try to make legitimate projections. We must acknowledge that most people are going to have to bloom where they are planted - there is simply not the carrying capacity to move tens and hundreds of millions of people around the globe and still have any sort of survivable lifestyle.”

In a recent interview with Michael Cutler, former ICE agent, he said, “Democracy is not a spectator sport.” I concur. CASE FOR REDUCING ALL IMMIGRATION INTO AMERICA TO 100,000 ANNUALLY

By Frosty Wooldridge

A recent Seattle Times op-ed said that Washington State’s (illegal) immigrants are “indispensable.” In other words, “We need our 21st century slave labor in order to ensure that our corporations make obscene profits to the detriment of our own citizens.”

Ironically, the Seattle Times did not mention that hundreds of thousands of Washington State citizens languish in food kitchens, food stamp and unemployment lines.

Back in Colorado, I wrote my U.S. Congressman Mike Coffman urging him to introduce a bill to reduce all legal immigration into the United States to 100,000 a year. I supplied facts, figures and graphs to support my stance. For example: we import 1.2 million legal immigrants annually while we suffer 20 million unemployed Americans. Not only can we NOT employ 20 million of our own citizens, how do we create jobs for 1.2 million more immigrants annually with credentials only to drive a taxi or clean hotel rooms?

A sixth grader could ingest the facts and figures to see that continued mass immigration into the United States cannot be sustained from a simple jobs standpoint.
However, Coffman wrote back, “In regards to your recommendations, I do not believe it is in the best interest of the United States to limit legal immigration to 100,000 individuals annually. It will also place America at a competitive disadvantage moving forward. For that reason, I do not support eliminating the H-1B and H-2B Visas. I believe that these visas have the ability to benefit American companies and the economy as a whole.”

Point in fact, those visas displaced 1.1 million American IT workers with foreign workers in our own country! Thanks to you, Congressman Coffman and your colleagues in Congress!

In other words, to Coffman, a college graduate and a U.S. Marine colonel, with 20 million unemployed Americans, it’s ‘competitive’ to add another 1.2 million legal immigrants annually. Even former Governor Lamm of Colorado said, “Are we in dreamland? The United States has had zero net job growth since 2000, yet we imported 10 million permanent immigrants in the same period. Our real U.S. unemployment rate is 17.3 percent when we consider the discouraged workers, more than 20 million, and yet some in Congress along with Udall and Bennet, propose increasing legal immigration and giving amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, who themselves will be allowed to bring in their spouses, parents, children, brothers, sisters and spouses and children of brothers and sisters. America has its plate full putting our own workers back to work.”

THE NUMBERS COLLIDE WITH REALITY

In a brilliant essay, Richard Pelto, “Is immigration indispensible?”, Vol. 1, fall 2009, www.thesocialcontract.com , he writes, “At a time when it is imperative to understand what is cracking the foundations of our economic and social system, Jayapal and Sinclair blindly pursue an immigration policy that demands that the now top-heavy and wobbly economic structure — already straining to remain balanced under the weight of unsustainability — be built even higher while blindly being rooted in the premise that we can never exhaust this Earth’s resources. That is especially absurd because it ignores the welfare of future generations because those resources enabled the industrialization and population explosion that came only because of their cheaply-available abundance.”

What astounds me as I research for my weekly columns, stems from the fact that our leaders from Congressman Coffman on up to U.S. Senators like Colorado’s Mark Udall—fail to understand basic arithmetic.

How can they think it’s ‘competitive’ to inject over 200,000 immigrants every 30 days into this country, when we suffer 20 million unemployed Americans? Another 35 million Americans subsist on food stamps! Millions more suffer foreclosed homes because they cannot pay the mortgages because they don’t have jobs. How about 13 million of our children living in poverty? How about 1.5 million homeless Americans? Where is the logic? Where is the common sense? What planet do they live on?

Am I crazy to ask these questions? Or, are they totally out of touch with reality as they import 1.2 million more people into this country annually? I am a former math/science teacher. Numbers either add up or they do not add up. At our current immigration rates, we can expect 70 million more immigrants injected into this country within 25 years. It’s the most ignored and avoided issue in immigration debate.

LEGAL IMMIGRATION IS WORSE THAN ILLEGAL BECAUSE IT CONTINUES METHODICALLY AND
WITHOUT PAUSE

Would you write your senators and congressmen? Ask him or her to introduce a bill to reduce legal immigration to 100,000 annually. Why that number? That’s how many people egress this country annually. Thus, we would move our civilization toward a balanced and sustainable future. Let’s make sure the math adds up for our children for a sustainable future.

DECEPTION, RACKET OF SIERRA CLUB AND OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL GROUPS

By Frosty Wooldridge

In 2009, our U.S. Congress gave one million green cards to foreigners as they imported them into our country as legal immigrants. Our Congress added another 450,000 work permits for foreigner workers.

At the same time, 15-20 million Americans could not and cannot secure a job. Another 35 million Americans subsist on food stamps. Foreclosures cost millions of Americans their homes. We stand $12 trillion in debt.

And yet, the Congress imports 1.5 million immigrants every year.

In the meantime, the American press covers water shortages around the world, 18 million humans starving to death globally annually, climate change, species extinction, and a host of accelerating dilemmas facing humanity in the 21st century.
Nonetheless, the American media, leaders and major corporate organizations won’t touch America’s steepening predicament visa vie legal and illegal immigration. And, more ironic if not oxymoronic, environmental organizations like the Sierra Club pretend to be saving the environment, but in fact become enablers of continued irresponsibility on a grand scale.

YOU MUST CHOOSE REALITY OVER DELUSION

My Canadian friend and colleague, Tim Murray, gave me a gut busting reality check with this interview. Canada, much like the United States, finds itself being overrun by immigration—so much so—a transformation has robbed Canada of its linguistic and cultural identity. It’s no longer Canada, but, an uncomfortable polyglot of multiculturalism. At the same time, its delicate environment declines with each new stamp of a visa card from desperate immigrants fleeing degraded conditions from their home countries.

However, the Sierra Club along with the Nature Conservancy, Greenpeace, World Wildlife Fund, Audubon Society, National Wildlife Federation and a dozen more environmental groups ignore the core issue.

Therefore, Murray created the “Sierra Clubbers Anonymous”. As a signal of this commitment, you must pledge to follow the 12 steps to full recovery:

Step 1: Honesty

After many years of denial, recovery can begin when with one simple admission of being powerless to regain your intellectual independence without reaching out for truth and that a self-righteous Sierran yuppie who is semi-literate in the laws of sustainability is more a fool than a so-called blue collar redneck who has no pretensions of superior consciousness.

Step 2: Faith

You must first have faith in biophysical laws and that the Commandment “Thou Shalt Not Trespass Carrying Capacity” trumps anything that Moses brought down from Mount Sinai or the optimism of the green apostles of false hope.

Step 3: Surrender

You must surrender your dependence on Sierra Club newsletters and set out on the lonely journey of educating yourself. You must start by understanding the exponential function and the limits to growth. No feat of human ingenuity can conjure up extinct species, replenish cheap oil or rehabilitate mined out soils without the use of fossil fuel-based fertilizers.

Step 4: Soul Searching

There is a saying in the 12-step programs that recovery is a process, not an event. The same can be said for this step -- more will surely be revealed. You must conduct a fearless moral inventory. Did that solar panel you installed create more energy than was involved in making it? Did that so-called smart car you bought not involve an industrial process, was ore not mined , smelted and transported to a factory to rendezvous with rubber derived from fallen trees? Were not the gains you made by riding a bike to work wiped out by taking that annual plane flight to Mexico or Bali?

Step 5: Integrity

Probably the most difficult of all the steps to face, Step 5 is also the one that provides the greatest opportunity for personal growth, the only kind that is benign. You must examine the financial reports of any environmental organization that you belong to and follow the money trail. You must renounce any group like the Sierra Club, Nature Conservancy or the David Suzuki Foundation which accepts corporate donations.

Step 6: Acceptance

The key to Step 6 is acceptance – accepting that you have been WILLFULLY ignorant and tolerant of corruption in the environmental movement. You must accept that you need an education. Start with Christine MacDonald’s “Green Inc” which documents how much mainstream environmental organizations are on the corporate take. Then take a look at Canada and ask, why is the Royal Bank funding the David Suzuki Foundation and Nature Conservancy? What are these green organizations doing, or more to the point, not doing and not saying to get that money?

Step 7: Humility

The spiritual focus of Step 7 is humility, realizing that your smug superiority complex is unwarranted. That the average logger or fish farm worker is no more responsible than you are for the system that we are trapped in.

Step 8: Willingness

Making a list of those that have been harmed by your support of false gods. The first casualty is the farmland we have lost to development fuelled by our having the highest population growth rate in the G8 group. And the many hundreds of species that are now at risk of extinction as a result. You must include on that list the fact that the environmental groups you blindly supported by their unwillingness to bite the corporate hand that feeds them have refused to fight population and economic growth and therefore made meeting Kyoto targets impossible.

Step 9: Forgiveness

You must ask for the forgiveness of those you have slandered and race-baited, and from the constituency that you have betrayed by allowing them to think that your group was a watchdog guarding the environment.

Step 10: Maintenance

Nobody likes to admit to being wrong. But you must continually remind yourself that your blind obedience to a corrupt, money-grubbing corporate lackey for so many years demands your consistent apologies.

Step 11: Making Contact

You must make contact with reality and with knowledge that your organization and the editors of the politically correct rags that you read do not allow you to see. As the Romans said, “nullius verba”---take no one’s word. Do your own research.

Step 12: Service

You can make amends for some of the damage that you have unwittingly done with your ill-informed good intentions by redirecting your donations and your efforts to projects and causes that make a difference. Deploy your money to countries like Thailand or Madagascar that are serious about birth control programs.
Canadian journalist and environmental leader Tim Murray rings a wake-up bell on Canada’s growing predicament. Shortly, he will publish a book: Overwhelming Canada. It will mirror Australian writer Mark O’Connor’s Overwhelming Australia. Both books coincide with a third book: America on the Brink: The Next Added 100 Million Americans.

What do all three books enjoy in common? They chronicle the ramifications of mass immigration into first world countries by third world immigrants from a line that grows by 77 million annually. Nothing positive will be recorded by world historians concerning this massive “human Katrina” and its effects on first world civilizations within the next three decades.

By the way, your U.S. Congress just imported another 240,000 immigrants in January of this year! How does that taste? Like ashes in your mouth?
